About our cause
The Red Lions United Football Club was founded by Jamal Thomas in January 2014. This is a football club for players, who have unfortunately not made it through, to play professionally nor semi-professionally for a team because of favouritism and other unfortunate factors. Red Lions United FC gives great opportunities to everybody who is dedicated and loves the game of football. We develop players, giving them the opportunity, through playing time and 1st class training to develop their abilities.
Soon, we plan to upgrade the 3G pitch to 4G for the 5 aside games for the community and later build a stadium for the expansion of Red Lions United Football Club and a community centre in and around the surrounding area. Additionally, creating a reserve team alongside our first team; a youth team, a disability team and a further development community team for people who have no football experience; to connect with the community. We also plan to create a youth academy to keep the children off the streets and away from gangs and drugs, later signing them to renowned academies such as Aston Villa FC, West Bromwich Albion FC, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Birmingham City FC, Solihull Moors, Coventry City FC, Evesham United, Tipton Town, Redditch United FC, Cradley Town FC, Lye Town FC, Halesowen Town FC and many more.
